Eco Chunky Knit Jewellery Collection Autumn Winter 2019
As a solopreneur I always seem to be “chasing my tail” and I sure am in respect of letting you know about our new colourways of eco chunky knit jewellery! So many jobs to do and family responsibilities to undertake but I’m not complaining because I feel very lucky to be able to create as part of my existance on earth!! This new(ish) collection was actually launched in October 2019 when myself and my fellow “incubees” presented an exhibition of our creative work. We were “incubees” because we were all very lucky to have been selected to take part in InCube Renfrewshire’s creative business start up program for 6 months in 2019. The exhibition was the finale, if you like, of our time there.
Collection Autumn & Winter 2019
The following pictures explain a little of my heritage and how this has inspired this collection. The muted colours and the thick, heavy textures creating statement pieces from simple knitting and under the Knitting on Cloud Nine ethos of Modern. Mindful. Makes.
Modern……….because they are chunky and funky.
Mindful……….because the materials used are recycled cotton from fashion waste and are therefore planet friendly.
Makes………..because they are hand knitted in Scotland using the skills taught by my fisher Aunt’s all those years ago. A close knit community and of course we are building our own community here at Knitting on Cloud Nine, inspiring new knitters to join us on this creative & social journey and keeping this heritage life skill of knitting alive.

Treat Yourself Sustainably
You can now buy these statement necklaces & bangles in my SHOP on the website. You can also see them in person (and I do encourage you to give them a good feel & try on) at
https://www.facebook.com/piratesandbluebell/
https://www.facebook.com/InCube.Shop/
They are extremely tactile and bounce back into shape after wear or storage. A wee hand wash will bring them back to life if they get a bit grubby with make up. They are cotton after all & very durable. I have even been known to wear mine as a belt or if you are a hairband person, this would work too (I am afraid I just look ridiculous in a hairband).
If you fancy making your own then I will be shortly launching the pattern. In the meantime you can check out the materials used bought from my favourite yarn shop www.theorrymill.co.uk and the exact yarn used was Bobbiny cord ( https://bobbiny.com/en ).
They make a great gift for too especially for all you planet lovers out there. Check out my SHOP and see you soon!
