Colour Options

Our Contemporary Collection knitting kit colours feature a base of forever neutrals in black, light grey, dark grey, blush and black/white mix. These colours complement a modern wardrobe and  give you so many opportunities to wear them, even as a belt or a headband!  Check our shop for mini balls of pops of bright colours too as one necklace is never enough!

Yarn

Our mini balls of t-shirt yarn are made from fashion waste in Turkey and they are guaranteed not to have any annoying joins to spoil your project.  Our contemporary collection yarns all come from Wool and the Gang and the fabric composition is 98% cotton and 2% elastane.  A great quality, soft, durable product which can be hand washed to keep it fresh and good to go for a very long time.

You can add mini skeins of 25m of varying colours to your kit for just £3.50.

We believe in mindful knitting and in slow fashion so it makes a difference to make your own.  Also we want you to feel good while you are wearing your creation and to finish your necklace, we have selected natural crystal beads for you to use as finishers. These not only complement the colour of your yarn, they offer you their holistic properties at the same time.

Snowflake Obsidian  – contained in black & black/white kits – Snowflake Obsidian is a natural black volcanic glass containing the mineral Cristobalite in the form of white “snowflake” crystal patterns.  Healing properties are said to provide balance for body, mind & spirit. It is calming & soothing and may aid sore muscles or joints.

Clear Quartz – contained in light grey & blush kits – Clear Quartz is also known as Crystal Quartz or Rock Crystal.  It is a natural form of silicon dioxide and is a 10th Anniversary gemstone.  It is known as the “master healer” and enhances harmony of the body and mind, neutralising negative energies and aiding concentration & intuition.

The recommended necklace is our “Twista” design which is mid length and adjustable.  The knitted portion measures around 54cm with 0.75cm ties, each side.   You will have enough yarn leftover to create a matching cuff and the pattern & video guide is available online.
